International Class “Global Mode On”


On Tuesday 6th January 2026 – third-semester students of the English Department at Sunan Doe Institute held an International Class activity with the theme “Global Mode On.”

This activity was a Final Semester Exam (UAS) assignment, taking the form of an International Class project, led by Mr. Bayu Islam Assasaki, S.S., M.Hum. The students brought international tourists to the campus as an effort to introduce Sunan Doe Institute, its academic culture, and lecture activities to the international community.

The event was also attended by the Head of the English Department at Sunan Doe Institute Mrs. Rini Marliana, M.Pd . In her remarks, she stated that the International Class activity was a strategic step in improving the quality of practice-based learning and strengthening students’ international communication skills. she also commended the students’ creativity and initiative in presenting contextual and globally oriented learning.

This activity aimed to hone students’ English communication skills directly while providing real-life experiences in introducing educational institutions to the global community. Furthermore, this program also served as a practice-based learning platform that encouraged students to actively interact in an international context.

Furthermore, this International Class activity is one of the efforts to support the Sunan Doe Institute’s vision of realizing a bilingual campus by fostering an academic environment that embraces the use of English as the language of communication. Through this activity, students are expected to improve their English language skills, self-confidence, and cross-cultural understanding to prepare them for facing global challenges.
